Abstract
Reviving traditions and customs of the peoples living in the huge territory of our country is one of the sources of cultural values of modern Russians. Studying new archival materials, family chronicles and the pre-Soviet literature which is now stored in largest foreign libraries provides the opportunity to reveal the economic, spiritual, political and social features of Siberians’ culture. The formation of the West Siberian society was very closely connected with the trade organized on the Siberian path and the Great tea way, both from China and from the central part of Russia. The paper focuses on the features of various groups of people involved in caravan trade moving along the Siberian path in the borders of the Tobolsk province. It was there that the Siberian tea drinking culture emerged, imported by Russian and overseas merchants and travelers, to later become a symbol of prosperity, hospitality and education. The new traditions connected with feasting found the reflection in proverbs and sayings, transferred from generation to generation, gradually pulling together city and rural cultures. The use of various blends and types of tea was opposed to the alcoholism which captured the Siberian village in the late 19th century, but didn't yield the results on which the government and the local intellectuals counted. With transition to industrial society, considerable part of traditions including some features of tea drinking culture were lost and forgotten. Therefore today works of the famous culinary specialists and scientists opening bases of food addictions of certain regions, countries and continents enjoy special popularity; museums of local lore will organize exhibitions and expositions, school and university students study these questions within training programmes.

Abstract

The paper presents the results of researching decorative and applied arts of Central Asia and Kazakhstan, according to the materials of Moscow and St. Petersburg museums collections. The project was carried out on 20 – 29 September 2014, with the support of Mikhail Prokhorov Foundation in the framework of the contest "Academic mobility". Annual replenishment of archaeological material in the large-scale excavations on the territory of Kazakhstan triggers the necessity of its interpretation and search for analogies. At present, scientific publications lack information about the art of Central Asia and the Orient stored on the territory of Russia. Therefore, the aim of the research was to study the materials of the Museum of decorative and applied arts of Central Asia and the East.
The results allowed us to broaden and deepen knowledge in the field of culture, to re-interpret the images on the artefacts of Kazakhstan’s material culture, and also to identify the still unclear purpose of some items. The study revealed that since ancient times a complex religious image formed in Central Asia. Different religions (Zoroastrianism, Buddhism, Islam) and a variety of cults (the cult of ancestors, the fertility cult of the dynastic cult, and others) coexisted there. The similarity of the ornamental motives of the material cultures of Kazakhstan, China, India and Iran proves Central Asia’s and Kazakhstan’s perception of diverse artistic traditions, as well as intense commercial and cultural exchange between the East and the West.

Abstract
The research focuses on confessional tolerance, established on the territory of modern South of the Tyumen region in the XIX – early XX centuries in relation to the Jewish population of the region. The aim of the paper is to examine, basing on modernization theory, the causes, types and manifestations of the religious tolerance of the authorities and society in conditions of continuing elements of anti-Semitism. The paper shows that the origins of tolerance lie in the peculiarities of national, economic and spiritual development of the region that formed the toleration of various degrees: from de facto recognition of the equality of the Jews to a significant reduction in the level of anti-Semitism. The authors focus on the question about the impact of these factors on the weakening of religious and traditional culture of the Jews. The result of the research described in the paper is the rationale for the connection between tolerance and weakening of the national culture of the Jews. In the Jewish Diaspora, on the one hand, continuing anti-Semitism was partiallyobserved, which forced conversion to Orthodoxy; and on the other hand unimpeded contacts with the Orthodox at the household and individual level attracted numerous mixed marriages, which destroyed the traditional culture of the Jews. The authors conclude that the tradition of tolerance that developed in the 19th  – early 20th  centuries had basic influence on the formation of interethnic peace in the region in subsequent periods.

Abstract
The research focuses on spatial-architectural organization of the Jewish community in Tyumen. The paper aims at identifying the characteristics of the organization of Jewish life in the Diaspora in Tyumen from the point of view of architectural decisions on the basis of historical-comparative method of historical research. The authors compare the features of Jews’ spatial development in Tyumen with the principles of the Jewish quarters organization in the two main historical centres of Jewish culture – Jerusalem and medieval Prague, to identify common and distinctive features in this process. The author's attention is drawn to the building of the historical centre of Tyumen, where in the early 20th century on the initiative of the local authorities cult buildings of several confessions were located within the same quarter, which contributed to the consolidation of religious tolerance in the local population. The result of the research presented in the paper is the definition of architectural and spatial organization of the Tyumen Jewish community as a combination of three key vectors of cultural impact: Jerusalem, Prague and local. The authors conclude about the effectiveness of the developed model for the realization of cultural and religious identity of the Jews and their impact on social and economic development of the region.

Abstract
Numerous semi-structured documents are used daily in education and research activities at universities. Dealing with metadata rather than documents themselves is one of the ways of processing documents uniformly. However, as far as many semi-structured documents are concerned, this method is considered to be efficient only in case of the existing procedure of automatic extraction of documents content metadata. The procedure includes 3 stages: document class identification, clusterization of the documents whose classes could not be identified, extraction of metadata from the documents of identified classes. The paper is dedicated to possible solutions for the first stage, i.e. automatic classification of semi-structured documents. The paper includes the definition of a semi-structured document, criteria of methods efficiency classification, comparative analysis of different methods regarding 5 top criteria. To estimate 2 additionally developped criteria the following methods are used: multilayer neural networks, Rocchio algorithm, k-nearest neighbor method. Based on the analysis results, the neural networks method appears to be the most efficient in the context of accuracy and speed correlation. However, classification accuracy is not enough when dealing with semi-structured documents. The authors suppose the accuracy of the methods can be improved by using not only key words but also determined document structure during classification process.

Abstract
The paper considers some problems of the theory and practice of University education at the present stage. The ideas of developing the philosophy of higher education were actualized. A radical contradiction was identified: in the 20th century universities offered en masse training of the reproductive and performing type specialists, while in the modern society the  needs for mass training of the creative and productive type specialists is increasing. But new innovative didactics are hardly growing inside of the university community. The authors made an attempt to establish the conclusion that university communities have no systematic concept of philosophical and pedagogical justification for reforms yet. A few options to achieve these objectives are proposed.

Abstract
The paper describes the definitional strategy of the semantization of the medical terms, forming the conceptual sphere of “infectious diseases”. Definitions were found in the result of the linguistcal experiment aimed at identifying the peculiarities of the real functioning of the medical terms in the consciousness of ordinary native speakers that are at the initial level of professionalization. The respondents were asked to define the following terms from the conceptual sphere of "infectious diseases": botulism, brucellosis, malaria, pertussis, psittacosis. The test material gives grounds to say that the ordinary meaning of the term differs from its scientific content: the ordinary content of the term is not submitted in a logical form of a concept, but in the form of internal (mental) content, which is explicated from the inside out in the experimental situation. Interpretation analysis of the medical term meanings allowed identify the following significant components for native speakers: category of disease, epidemiology, etiology, symptoms, pathogenesis, age category and prognosis.

Abstract
The paper focuses on the usage of the words denoting a horse in the English fiction of 18th – 20th centuries. Adjectival and verbal word-combinations which contain the components of the semantic field “horse” are described in the paper. The author unites these word-combinations into different thematic groups. The analysis of the usage of adjectival word-combinations in fiction makes it possible to determine the qualities and functions of a horse that are of primary importance for the British, various kinds of horse states, the most frequent horse breeds in Great Britain. The wordcombinations of horse coloration comprise not only colour names, but also specific words used to describe only horses and word-combinations that are formed on a metaphoric basis. The author points out that the verbal word-combinations containing the components of the semantic field “horse” show both the attitude of a person to a horse and the actions done with this animal. A large number of words denoting a horse, synonyms among adjectival and verbal wordcombinations, varieties of contexts in which they are used prove that a horse has always been significant in the life of the British.

Abstract
The paper analyzes the features of text, due to which it can be referred to as a means of studying factor type intentional lexical units that denote one of the seven stages of a volitional action: desire, intention, decision, plan, preparation, attempt, realization. These stages form an abstract, “perfect”, model of this type of action. Imperfection of real models calls for efficient means of their studying. This research shows that a literary text is rich in concrete cases of a volitional action. Besides, the following typical features of the units in question are most vivid in this type of text: factor dependence, sequence of stages, semantic deficiency, cumulativeness, intentionality. The research is based on a volitional action model in A. Christie’s novel «The murder of Roger Ackroyd», which includes four of the seven stages.

The paper attempts to describe the cognitive mechanism of naming sounds in the English language. The term ‘naming’ includes the processes of conceptualization, nomination and categorization of sounds. Besides, the author has introduced some new terms: phononym, acoustives, phononymy.
The whole bulk of sounds is suggested to be regarded as two mental entities: the world sound image and the world acoustic picture. English native speakers acquire, keep and express their knowledge about the frame ‘SOUND UNIVERSE’ which is split into two sub-frames: ‘PHONATION’ (sound production) and ‘AUDITION’ (aural perception). The world sound image is surmised as the sum of phonation of all the sounds on our planet. Whereas the world acoustic picture is made up by the sub-frame ‘audition’ of sounds which the English native speakers hear or can hear on the daily basis.

Abstract

The paper considers the characterization of honghuzi in work of such writers as N. A. Baikov, B. M. Yulskiy, I. P. Shteinberg and P. V. Shkurkin. Analyzing their artistic legacy, we rely primarily on the works which are known to a wider audience.
The chosen works allow to create an ambigious and multifaceted image of gangsters with mythological type of perception of reality. P. V. Shkurkin and I. P. Shteinberg bring some knightly qualities into the image of honghuzi, highlighting the major ones: fairness, honesty, trust and romanticism.
Analysis of the foreign Far East prose writers’ heritage allows speaking about several robust motives that have oriental specifics. For example, the motive of abduction and release of the captive, accompanied by attendant invariance of successful and unsuccessful release motives, which anyhow compose the short plot of an opus. Also the motives described in the paper are interwoven with Eastern philosophies and symbols of culture in general.

Abstract
The paper shows the possibility of a multilevel analysis of verb semantics examplified by Yiddish prefixed verbs studied in a three-level correlation being a complex structure of horizontally and/or hierarchically bound elements. The situation at the objective denotative level correlates with the lexical semantic level of the verb determining symmetrical, (including isomorphic symmetrical), or asymmetrical concepts of the situation. The prefixed verb expresses more information than its lexical meaning includes, and it becomes apparent in the situateme at the cognitive semantic level determined by the verb; the situateme consists of some microsituations of different ranks: kernel, peripheral, and marginal. The microsituations are hierarchical; only the lexicalized kernel microsituation correlates with the verb meaning directly, the peripheral and marginal microsituations supplement the situateme showing the polysituativity of the prefixed verb semantics through the non-additivity of meanings of the generating stem and prefix and through the semantically, syntactically or presuppositionally bound elements.

Abstract
The paper discusses the origins and formation of the structural approach to humanitarians cognition. It is understood as a result of the "Copernican revolution" of I. Kant that developed in the process of clarifying the specifics of humanitarians cognition committed in theories of neokantianism, pragmatism, structuralism, Gestalt-psychology, analytic philosophy and others. It is proved that the structure of the inner form serves as the base of the integrity of things, thus structural approach is opposed to elementarism. The key role of the structural approach in the development of structuralism is proved, where the structural approach generated a detailed structural methodology. The authors show the place of linguistic researches in the study of symbolic forms of culture which, although not confined to language, are still rather often caused by them. In turn, the author determines the meaning of structuralism for linguistics, which owes its scientific status to structuralism. The authors describe the development of structuralism and its limited set of methodological possibilities, which led to the overcoming of its hegemony in humanitarians cognition, which does not mean that the structural approach is limited as such.

Abstract
Suture material has significant influence on remote results of surgical intervention, and in particular, in reconstructive operations on heart and vessels. Despite the great choice of suture material in the market, there are no threads with directed antithrombotic effect. With the purpose of increasing thromboresistant properties of suture material, the most promising method is the application of biodegradable coating based on polyhydroxyalkanoate biopolymer and nonfractionated heparin by the method of chemical grafting. Antithrombotic coating of polypropylene thread is achieved through the creation of reactive intermediate layer. The study of grafting of heparin onto substrate by the methods of diffuse reflectance infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy showed uniform location and strong holding of heparin on the surface of the thread.

The main phenol compounds composition (flavonoids, phenolcarboxylic acids and its derivatives) and their ratio in Leonurus quinquelobatus Gilib. herb from Kemerovo region, regions with less developed chemical and coalmining industries (Novosibirsk and Omsk regions) and environmentally friendly areas (Altai Republic) were studied in 2011 for developing the influence of anthropogenic pollution on the quality of raw motherwort. The primary purification method and analysis by HPLC-MS of the L. quinquelobatus herb alcoholic extracts (70 %) was developed. Passed through a patron filled with phase reversed sorbent (Diapak C16), methanol furnished the best extract of flavonoids and hydroxycinnamic acids. An eluent was used for separation: 2 % formylic acid-methanol in the stepwise elution mode (isocratic and gradient modes combination). The 9 main phenolic compounds were found in the samples, 5 of them are flavonoids and their derivates (chlorogenic acid, ether coffeic and malic acid, tetrosopentozide chlorogenic acid, tetrosodipentozide chlorogenic acid, rutin, hexosokumaroilluteolin, quinquelozide isomers, methyl apigenin ether). A compound composition of the plants from different regions of Western Siberia was not different. The high content of rutin and chlorogenic acids in L. quinquelobatus medications did not demonstrate the high quality of the analysed raw material because the amount of these compounds can increase if the plants are damaged by diseases and blasts. Comparison of the quality of the L. quinquelobatus samples should beter be carried out by apigenin derivatives (including quinquelozide).
