Abstract

The paper presents a structural mathematical model of thermal conductivity of the unidirectionally reinforced layer; effective thermal and mechanical properties of fiber composites are constructed within the model. The essentially new element of the proposed model is the procedure of averaging the heat flux of the representative volume of the twocomponent composite material in accordance with the Richman law of heat exchange, rather than with the rule of mixtures, as it is usually done.

Abstract

The authors use the apparatus of ordinary differential equations to study the issue of population dynamics of the protected species inhabiting a bilocal areal where there is a competition between the protected and unprotected parts of the population. In the protected and unprotected parts there is a competition between the members of the population, as well as the exchange between them. For the simulation of the evolutionary processes in the areal of protected populations, the authors used a system of two differential equations of the first order with respect to the population density in the protected and unprotected areas. The paper presents a qualitative study of the behaviour of the phase trajectories of the system of equations in a small neighbourhood around the singular points as equilibrium states of the system; the bifurcation parameters are identified. A case of continuously renewed population was analyzed in detail. The obtained results allows to create effective measures for the stable and sustainable existence of populations in protected and unprotected areas.

Abstract

Non-stationary inhomogeneous system of Navier–Stokes equations with variable viscosity depending on the density for modeling the processes of cohesive soil erosion and surface wave propagation has been used. Value of the density has been determined by the convection-diffusion equation. For solving the obtained system we have used an algorithm consisting of the splitting scheme on physical factors and the predictor-corrector method. The system has been solved on the staggered grid by the grid method. The results of calculations for two-dimensional and three-dimensional problems are presented.

The paper considers the theoretical basis of functioning of the ‘dome-separator’ designed for the collection and subsequent shipment of oil-gas emissions in the case of rupture of the well near the bottom of deep waters when thermobaric conditions are favorable for the formation of gas hydrate. The mathematical model describing the process of filling and pumping the ydrocarbons from the dome under hydrate formation conditions is constructed, and dynamics of change of temperature of phases is also described.

Abstract

Band spectrum, full and deformational electronic densities, atomic charges of superhard compound BC2N in a chalcopyrite structure have been calculated in terms of first principles density functional theory. A partial composition of the valence band has been analysed. There are some competing minima within the band bottom, the absolute minimum location depending on the calculation code applied (PWscf or CRYSTAL09), which does not allow cp-BC2N to be a direct band crystal or indirect band one. The nature of full and deformational density contours is of ionic-covalent type of the chemical bonding and the C-N bond appears to be stronger than that of B-C.

The techniques of the voltammetric determination of oxygen permeability and of the activity in acid-base exchange were developed for the soft contact lenses. In the first case it is proposed to use the cathodic voltammetry by means of O2 reduction current in the airtight cell with a gold electrode. In the second case the authors suggest measuring the hydrogen oxidation peaks with platinum electrode during the absorption of free acid by lens material.

Abstract

The paper investigates the dependence of aluminium nanoparticles absorptivity (in a vacuum) on the temperature in the range from 300 to 700 K. If the temperature increases, the absorptivity also increases all over the examined range. The dependences of absorptivity maximums and optimal nanoparticles sizes on the temperature were calculated. For each of the nanoparticles radii in the range from 50 to 200 nm the dependence might be described using polynomial of the second degree. The expansion coefficients were calculated. The results of the work are important to enhance the cup of the optical detonator and optoacoustic equipment.

The paper analyzes the electron-hole processes in silver azide with the crystal lattice polarization by the charge carriers. Energy and dynamics parameters of polarons are defined. Effective masses of electrons and holes are estimated and their mobility is defined taking into account their scattering by longitudinal optical phonons. The energy position of the defect levels in the band gap of silver azide is estimated. Rate constants and capture cross sections of electrons and holes in the charged and neutral defects of the silver azide crystal lattice are defined.

Abstract

Biodegradation rate and tensile strength are essential for membranes, applied to prevent post-surgical adhesion formation. The study is aimed at evaluating biodegradation rate, physical and mechanical properties of the membranes made from biodegradable polymer composites in vitro, namely polyhydroxybutyrate / oxovalerate (PGBV), polylactide (PLA), and polylactide-co-glycolide (PLGA). PLGA copolymers, having a polylactide: glycolide ratio in the proportion of 70:30 and 60:40, reported the highest biodegradation rate, moreover, the addition of PGBV to this polymer composite may increase the bioresorption rate of the latter by1.2 – 1.3 times. Thus, the physical and mechanical testing findings have shown that the addition of PLGA to PGBV results in improved properties of the studied samples – PLGA added to the polymer composite in the proportion 60:40 increased its strength by 27.5 %, and its elastic properties by 70 % compared to PGBV. The obtained results demonstrated that the adjustment of the bioresorbable polymer formulation for anti-adhesive membranes may regulate biodegradation rate, physical and mechanical properties.

Abstract

The paper presents the study of the semantics and syntactic context of the phraseological unit ‘a (big) girl’s blouse’ by methods of component analysis and seme retrieval. Potential semes are retrieved from texts of the British national discourse. The semes of action, state and appearance are classified within modeling of the extensive semantic structure of phraseological unit. The correlation of male and female characteristics is stated. Single lexical and semantic context of a phraseological unit is implemented in the forms of the verb to be when referring to somebody or for self-criticism. The dictionary entry of the phraseological unit is compiled.

Abstract

The subject of the research is communicatively relevant silence understood as zero speech act. The object of the research is non-verbal discourse which represents the situation of silence. The research is aimed to define the role of nonverbal discourse analysis in the study of silence phenomenon and to distinguish language means of non-verbal discourse in the situation of silence. The research is based on the texts by the Siberian writers: V. Shukshin, V. Rasputin and A. Vampilov. The research revealed a number of features typical of non-verbal discourse in the situation of silence (intonation marker, emotional marker, emotion specifiers: kinesic and proxemic somatic reaction). Since there are no verbal representants in the situation of silence, hence the intonation marker is occasional and only contextually substitutes the verb of speech denoting sound. Emotional markers indicate the causators of silence as well as their specifiers. Kinesic somatic reaction is represented by the following reactions of the subject of silence: eye contact, absence of eye contact, face, lips, head movements, hands, posture. Proxemic somatic reaction or location of the subject of silence is connected with reflection, effort to regain composure before starting to talk, awkwardness, humbleness or involvement. Leaving the location in the situation of silence means the unwillingness to start a conversation or the end of the conversation. The analysed non-verbal means of communication in the situation of silence specify and clarify the phenomenon under research and help to differentiate silence and describe it more clearly.

Abstract

The paper presents the first Russian experience of institutionalizing Creative Deviantology as a special scientific and academic discipline. The author emphasizes Creative Deviantology’s acquisition of its scientific syntagma which contributes to enriching the problematic and topical field of the Humanities. In the light of Creative Deviantology creativity is viewed as a heuristic way of the individual’s life; creativity is considered as a form of behavior that is not consistent with accepted standards, but at the same time not violating the legal and moral precepts of the group. Therefore, art and creativity can be seen as a positive deviation. The most productive and promising condition (factor) influencing creative socialization (both positive and destructive) is the self-construction personality, which is based on their own creative activity, consciousness and the processes of personality actualization.

Abstract

Communicative skills training is an independent tool for optimizing the substructures of the personality’s valueneed sphere in older teenagers. Teenagers are characterized by a high degree of personal instability. However, the genetic substructure of the personality’s value-need sphere is not subject to change through external influence, the only way to harmonize the substructures in this area is influencing the public substructure by using communicative training. The choice of training as a tool of influence can be explained by several factors. Firstly, the impact of public institutions in the socialization process is not direct but mediated. The mediators are a variety of small groups as well as certain people who are personally important for the teenagers. Secondly, the format of socio-psychological training satisfies the two conditions that are important for an older teenager: there being a group of peers and a potential mentor (the coach). Reducing conflicts between the genetic and social substructures of the value-need sphere of the teenager's personality can be directly measured by the ratio of value zones expression. In addition, it is also possible to examine the psychological effectiveness of communicative skills training. For this purpose, continuous research was conducted with the teenagers at a vocational school inAbakan, Khakassia. It consisted of 5 stages. In the first phase 91 adolescents were examined, and their index of socio-psychological adaptation was calculated. Then, after the implementation of the 18-class training (second phase), three levels of retest were conducted: immediately upon completion of the training programme, six months later and 1 year later. Thus, the dynamics of the psychological effectiveness of training communicative skills in teenagers was tracked. The results of the study can be used for a systematic approach to socio-psychological support for older adolescents in learning environments in vocational schools. Training of communicative skills can form the communicative attitudes that will contribute to conflict-free communication, but will not contradict the requirements of the generic substructure of the value-need sphere of the older teenager’s personality.

Abstract

The paper discusses the fate of the Siberian lawyer originating from the family of townspeople who graduated fromMoscowUniversity. In 1917, he reached the peak of his career – becoming a State employee, Chairman of Barnaul district court. The overthrow inSiberiaby the Soviet authorities and the establishment of the anti-Bolshevik regimes led him to the post of Assistant Minister for justice. There, he sought to instill legality and legal order inSiberiaas well. The entry of the Red Army into the region interrupted this process. For 23 years until his death A. P. Morozov was excommunicated from his profession that proved unnecessary for the new state formation.

Abstract

The paper studies the material culture of the Don peasants in the second half of the 19th century. The subjects of the study are settlements and homes of peasants, as well as the level of infrastructure for their development. The paper aims at revealing the features of peasants’ life on the Don; they constitute a separate category in the social structure of the Don, where the privileged position was occupied by Cossack servicemen. The author introduces some previously unpublished sources, materials, periodicals of the studied period, as well as the statistical data. Researching this topic is relevant for the study of social and cultural history, agrarian history ofRussiabased on the materials from the Russian South. It is concluded that the level of life of the peasant population was very low, the social infrastructure was poor. It is shown that in the post-reform period the active process of peasantry differentiation took place, which is also reflected in the material culture, the organization of mode of life.

Abstract

Preserving the territorial and state unity was one of the priorities in Kolchak’s government policy. That became evident in the actions toward the protectorates ofRussia: Khiva,Bukharaand Tuva (Uryankhay Kray). Such a task was difficult to implement because of complicated external circumstances. Those territories were strategic localities where interests ofGreat Britain,ChinaandMongoliacompeted, and where the spheres of struggle between theSovietStateand the Russian antibolshevist units were present. Kolchak’s government strove to keep the protectorship and the preexisting treaty obligations concluded before 1917. The relations withBukharaand Khiva as antibolshevik struggle allies assumed particular significance in the autumn of 1919, when their additional military assistance was demanded. The military mission was sent to Khiva along with the appeal to the chagan of Khiva and the emir ofBukhara. In the missive letters Kolchak determined the objectives of his government: struggle against Bolshevism; restoration of peace and order; the right of theRussianState’s peoples to the freedom of self-determination of «their life through establishing Constituent assembly». Concerning Uryankhay Kray, Kolchak's regime tried to find new mechanisms to strengthen its ties with the state domain ofRussia. The elements of the Uryankhs’ self-government of were preserved for the purpose of gaining their trust. But the elections of the people’s representatives had to be held under the control ofOmskauthorities. The chief lama of Uryankhay Kray, the supporter of the alliance withRussia(but not withChinaandMongolia), had to strengthen his influence on the Uryankhs. The regime made him a substantive figure, independent from Lamaist clergy of other countries. However, all these measures in the situation of the Civil War were not sufficient for providing Russian integrity. The White Guard’s strategy to preserve the united and integralRussiawithout guarantees of altering the status of national territories served as an obstacle for the policy implementation. This aggravated public sentiments and lack of support for the maintenance of protectorates as part ofRussia.

Abstract

The paper examines the initial stage of the creation of the teacher training system in Tuva Autonomous Region (1944 – 1961). The documents of the regional department of public education and educational institutions stored in the State Archives of theRepublicofTuvaform the empiric base of the paper. The difficulties that were characteristic for that stage (weak educational facilities, lack of staff, lack of educational plans and programs, low literacy of the indigenous population etc.) had an impact on the quality of students’ training. Comprehensive assistance of theSoviet Union, professionalism and enthusiasm of Soviet teachers, activity of the students themselves allowed overcoming these difficulties. In this paper particular attention is paid to the training of teachers for the national schools of Tuva on the basis of theTeacherTrainingCollege(since 1946) and Kyzyl Teachers’ Institute (since 1952). The materials given in the paper are useful in comparative terms – for analysing the formation of the system of education in national autonomous regions of the RSFSR.
