Published issue No. 5 (2024) on psychology

The articles introduce all possible kinds of psychological contexts, integrating personology, general psychology, and sociolinguistics with pedagogy and clinical studies.

The journal opens with the section that describes the Relevant Issues of Psychodiagnostics. The authors report new psychodiagnostic tools. For instance, L. I. Wasserman et al. rationalized a new methodology to be used in clinical and psychological research, as well as rehabilitative and preventive psychotherapy. D. I. Simonova and V. B. Nikishina reported the advantages of digital eye-tracking tools for attention span tests. I. A. Filenko and S. A. Bogomaz introduced a new questionnaire on coping strategies.

The section of Cognitive Studies and Mental Spaces: Normal vs. Pathological Conditions describes the latest psychological studies in central cognitive phenomena. O. M. Krasnoryadtseva et al. developed a diagnostic tool that can serve as a cognitive trainer at university: it compensates for the current deficiency of cognitive experience in students and helps them to select optimal strategies in order to resolve sensorimotor issues of various complexity. N. N. Krylova linked together metacognitive involvement, critical thinking, and attitude to information environment as a complex correlation to be applied in professional behavior simulators. N. I. Nelyubin dwelled upon cognition as a multidimensional and nonlinear act that unfolds simultaneously in several modes of human mentality, thus uniting temporal, activity, and noetic levels. E. M. Smerchinskaya et al. proved that written narratives may help psychiatrists to differentiate between schizophrenic, personality, and bipolar disorders.

The section of Ontology and Sociogenetics of Life Fulfillment unites original studies that feature the psychological and socio-psychological conditions behind the patterns, irregularities, factors, and mechanisms of personal development at various stages of life. V. D. Alperovich studied artifact, architectural, and anthro­pomorphic metaphors that can be used as adulthood markers. T. G. Bokhan et al. described the effect of physical development conditions on social and emotional behavior of children conceived through assisted reproductive technology. K. I. Shachneva et al. demonstrated the effect of poor glycemic control and chronic hyperglycemia in diabetic teenagers on their low performance in cognitive, speech, and memory tests. The children with neuropsychological deficiency had regulatory issues, low responsibility, and poor self-efficiency, as well as a preference for external control.

The section of Psychological Aspects of Interpersonal Communication in Dif­ferent Social Spheres introduces articles in psychology of digital communication, corporate culture, and practical training. P. A. Belimova and A. V. Miklyaeva traced the current boom of visual communication to the general visual shift in modern culture that affects human psychology in all digitalized spheres of life. T. V. Kapustina et al. studied doctor-patient communication as part of patient-centered healthcare approach to prove that medical employees need more collective decision making and mutual assistance in corporate culture. I. V. Turova declared communicative skills as the key factor in high-quality medical care and a means to prevent emotional burnout in medical employees.

The final section of Psychology and Pedagogy of Education reports the psychological aspects of academic environment. O. V. Zadorozhnaya and E. N. Novokhatko evaluated the psychological well-being of university students with special needs: it appeared to depend on such internal factors as self-relation with the vector of positivity and personal growth, while the evaluative mode of external influence proved insignificant. A. A. Rean and R. G. Kuzmin studied the phenomenon of teacher-directed violence and described the advantages of various anti-bullying programs that provide the safety and well-being to both teachers and students. I. V. Titkov and I. O. Loginova introduced a new narrative gamification method that integrated game elements and narratives into the academic process to create a more interactive and motivating learning environment.
