THE PROBLEM OF INCORPORATING LANGUAGES FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF PHRASE BUILDING PROCESSES

Abstract

The paper studies foreign and Russian linguists’ views on problems of incorporation and incorporating languages. The aim of this research consists in analysis and comparison of typological directions in foreign and Russian linguistics. The classification of languages from a typological side has got a history of over 200 years, but, nevertheless, it is incorporating languages that numerous researchers’ questions. The review of fundamental studies devoted to the problem of incorporation, involves the period since the moment of separation of this type of languages. A special emphasis is given to the contribution of Russian scientists into the research of processes of incorporation. The investigation of problems of typology of languages and namely of incorporation is especially actual for research and comparison of processes of languages development, interaction and confusion. The theoretical significance of the paper consists in the revelation of the methods of studying incorporating languages and their correlation with other types. The results of the conducted research can be used in preparing courses of lectures and conducting seminars in general linguistics, history of linguistics, history of language and theory of cross-cultural communication.
