DEMOGRAPHIC SECURITY OF A MINING INDUSTRY REGION (THE EXAMPLE OF THE KEMEROVO REGION)
Abstract
The article discusses the importance of demographic security for the regional economy. It defines the dynamics of the population of the Kemerovo region since its formation and states the main causes of depopulation of the region. The interconnection of high mortality and industrial structure of the area is established. Possible directions of research aiming at ensuring the demographic safety of the Kemerovo region are suggested.
