Abstract

The usage of ty- and vy-forms in speech and in writing within a regulatory dialogue is described in detail in the works
on the Russian speech etiquette. But these rules are not applicable to the etiquette of social networking - net-etiquette,
which is still being formed. The article traces the general tendencies of etiquette in the Internet and focuses on assessing
the choice of ty-and vy-forms in the Internet communication and the process of shift from ty to vy and vice versa.
