GENDER DIFFERENCES IN AGGRESSIVE SPEECH BEHAVIOUR OF RUSSIAN AND AMERICAN NATIVE SPEAKERS (AS REVEALED IN AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY)

Abstract

The article is devoted to studying aggression as a definite behavior reaction (including speech behavior) to the incentive of social environment. Communicants' gender characteristics being potential verbal aggression catalyst specify the choice of aggressive linguistic means, as proved by the results of the experimental study using scenario method.
