ICONICITY IN MEDIADISCOURSE (GRAPHICAL LEVEL)

Abstract

The article analyzes iconicity on a graphical level of the media discourse of the English and the Dutch languages. The cognitive role of such instruments as photography, chart, pictogram, caricature, collage, as well as the role of the background, colour, font and point in coding of the reality are examined.
