THE PROBLEM OF SEMIPALATINSK TREATY RATIFICATION IN THE CONTEXT OF EURO-ASIAN SECURITY ARCHITECTURE
Abstract
This article deals with the problem of Semipalatinsk treaty ratification. The author analyzes the process of negotiations and specific treats of the document on Nuclear Free zone in Central Asia. The paper aims at showing that different views on the future architecture of global and regional security between key official nuclear states prevented Western countries such as the USA, the UK and France from signing negative security assurances protocol.
