SOCIAL ORIENTATION OF PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Abstract

The aim of the research is to identify, study and experimentally confirm the efficiency of organizational and pedagogical conditions of social orientation in primary school in physical education. The methodological base of the research was axiological, system-active, learner-centered approaches. Theoretical (analysis, synthesis, modeling) and empirical (assessment, psycho-diagnosis, sociometry, surveys) research methods were used. The paper will be interesting for primary school teachers, teachers of physical culture and other professionals working with primary schoolchildren. With the society’s understanding the valuable potential of practicing physical culture, the set of functions and forms of physical training organization extended. Modern society needs physical education as a socially oriented pedagogical process. Social orientation is a specifically organized process aimed at developing students’ public attitudes and values. The organizational and pedagogical conditions of effective social orientation of primary schoolchildren in physical education are: expanded content, traditional and alternative forms, interactive methods of physical education. The implementation of simulated organizational and pedagogical conditions confirmed the expected effectiveness of primary schoolchildren’s social orientation. A significant factor in increasing the efficiency of social orientation and educational process in physical education in primary school is the author's model and manuals to help teachers: «Methods of social orientation in primary school in physical education» and «Fundamentals of the Olympic and Paralympic primary schoolchildren education».
