NAMING OF PUBLIC TRANSPORT STATIONS IN KEMEROVO: CONTEMPORARY CONDITION, PROBLEMS AND WAYS OF OPTIMIZATION

Abstract

This article analyzes the situation of naming of public transport stations in Kemerovo. Facts for analysis were
obtained from field collection of material (with a subsequent comparison to the names used in the 2GIS directory and
the website of the Kemerovo «Management of the united customer of transport services» - www.kemgortrans.ru), and
from a poll. Assessment and analysis of the naming effectiveness were conducted by the members of the project team
(the authors of article) with the assistance of experts in linguistics, sociology, and history (local history).
