THE RELIGIOUS-CRITICAL CONCEPTION OF THE TOTALITARIANISM IN THE FOREIGN HISTORIOGRAPHY OF THE 1930S
Abstract
The paper analyzes the process of formation of the religious-critical conception of totalitarianism in the 1930s. It focuses
on the works of prominent representatives of this conception: A. Feiler, P Tillich, W. Gurian, Edgar Alexander. After
disclosing of the contents of thess works the main methodological approaches and assessment in the study of totalitarianism
are highlighted.
