THE TUVANS OF XINJIANG UYGUR AUTONOMOUS REGION OF CHINA (THE MATERIALS OF AN ETHNOGRAPHIC EXPEDITION TO XINJIANG UYGUR AUTONOMOUS REGION OF CHINA)
Abstract
The paper addresses the Tuvans of China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. In particular, it focuses on the field material reflecting the tribal structure and various aspects of life and culture at the modern stage. The authors show that some transformation processes are taking place at the present stage, providing new forms of dialogue and communication in the multi-ethnic environment.
