LINGUISTIC MEANS OF ABSURDITY HUMOUR EXPLICATION IN CLAUDE BOURGEYX’S STORIES FOR CHILDREN

Abstract

The paper studies some short stories written by a contemporary French author Claude Bourgeyx who represents absurdity literature genre. The focus is laid on various linguistic means employed to describe an irrational, paradoxical situation. The research found that the principal technique is the decomposition of phraseological units.
