CONCEPTUAL METAPHOR OF DESEASE IN THE GERMAN POLITICAL DISCOURCE
Abstract
The article offers a structural and functional and semantic analysis of metaphors representing the source domain “medicine” which are observed in the German political discourse from the standpoint of cognitive linguistics. This group of conceptual metaphors, describing the socioeconomic reality of modern Germany, is based on both traditional and occasional images.
