У Кинга он воплощается как несвобода в юридическом смысле / вызванная проти- воправными действиями других лиц / природными условиями / вымышленными фантастическими обстоятель- ствами, как несвобода объективная или субъективная, гендерно маркированная или добровольная, при этом концептуальное пространство несвободы варьируется от жилого помещения до субъективного, внутреннего пространства человеческой души.
The article concentrates on the motif of the lack of freedom, which is crucial for many Steven Kings novels and short stories. On the whole, the concept in question reflects the way the notion of freedom is perceived within American worldview. In Kings oeuvre the concept may externalize itself as a lack of freedom in the legal sense / caused by illegal actions of others / natural conditions / fictional circumstances; it may be objective or subjective, gender-marked or voluntary, its conceptual space varies itself from the boundaries of a haunted housing to the illusory trap of ones soul.
