В статье рассматриваются способы и приемы перевода контекстов, содержащих плеоназмы трех функциональных стилей: научно-популярного, научно-технического и официально-делового. Объектом исследования выступает плеоназм как явление речевой избыточности в различных функциональных стилях. Научная новизна исследования заключается в том, что предпринята попытка комплексного анализа плеоназмов, а также способов и приемов их перевода в научно-популярном, научно-техническом и официально-деловом стилях. В работе используются следующие методы исследования: сравнение и сопоставление, метод сплошной выборки, количественный анализ. Делаются выводы о выборе способа перевода, который напрямую зависит от стиля текста. Практическая значимость работы заключается в том, что возможно применение результатов работы в практической деятельности профессиональных переводчиков, а также в процессе обучения переводу.
The paper focuses on translation strategies of the contexts containing pleonasm in popular scientific, scientific-technical and official styles. The object of research is the pleonasm as the phenomenon of speech redundancy in different functional styles. Scientific novelty of the research lies in the fact that the author undertakes an attempt to conduct a comprehensive analysis of such phenomenon as the pleonasm, as well as the methods and techniques of translation in popular scientific, scientific-technical and official styles. This article describes the research in the course of which the following methods were used: method of comparison and contrast, continuous sampling method, quantitative data analysis. Conclusions are drawn about the choice of the method of translation, which depends directly on the style of the text. The practical significance of the paper lies in the fact that it is possible to use the results in the activities of professional translators, as well as in teaching translation.
